COMPLEX ANALYSIS OF RHEOLOGICAL, THE ELECTROPHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF BLOOD, AND SOME FACTORS OF IRON METABOLISM IN THE BLOOD IN GASTRIC CANCER

EKATERINE LABADZE, MAIA MANTSKAVA, NANA MOMTSELIDZE, CARLOTA SALDANHA, GIORGI KUCHAVA, NUGZAR NARSIA, ALEXANDER TSALUGELASHVILI

Research of different clinical parameters of different systems of the body in gastric cancer is very needed because gastric cancer is one of the most terrible diseases cancers of the modern world. The aim of our work was to study the rheological properties of blood in gastric cancer, along with the electrophysical properties of blood and iron metabolism in patients with gastric cancer. The research methods were modern and original. The study included patients with stomach
cancer and a control group of healthy volunteers. The average age in the studied groups corresponded to each other. All patients were included in the study according to an informed agreement. In patients with gastric cancer before surgery, the content of iron and hemoglobin was reduced, transferrin and ferritin remained within normal limits. On the 7th day after the operation, ferritin increased twice, hemoglobin was close to control values.

STUDY OF ELECTRO-PHYSICAL, RHEOLOGICAL PROPERTIES ON THE BACKGROUND OF INVESTIGATING IRON METABOLISM IN PATIENTS WITH GASTRIC CANCER

E. Labadze, N. Narsia, A. Tsalugelashvili, C. Saldanha, G. Kuchava, N. Momtselidze, M. Mantskava

It is crucial to conduct research on clinical parameters of different body systems in gastric
cancer as it is one of the most serious diseases in the modern world. The aim of our work was to study the rheological properties of blood in gastric cancer, along with the electrophysical properties of blood and iron metabolism in patients with gastric cancer. The research methods were modern and innovative. The study included patients with stomach cancer and a control group of healthy volunteers. The average age in the studied groups was similar. In all cases participants’ informed consent was obtained. In patients with gastric cancer before surgery the iron and hemoglobin levels were low, transferrin and ferritin remained within normal limits.

Biomechanics and kinesiology(ISBN 978-9941-503-02-3)

You can find book on Google Books

The book on biomechanics written by Professor Maka Mantskava, Professor Tamar Sanikidze, and Professor Nikoloz Gotsiridze. This book seems to offer a comprehensive exploration of biomechanics and kinesiology, covering various aspects related to cells, tissues, organs, and systems. The book is divided into two sections, Biomechanics I and Biomechanics II, and is designed for a course that spans 100 or more hours.

The authors have incorporated 180 illustrations to aid in understanding the concepts and functional relationships depicted by formulas. Additionally, the book includes laboratory work descriptions in an appendix, outlining their implementation sequence. Self-evaluation discussion questions are provided to help readers gauge their understanding of the material.

The book’s focus on combining theory and practical approaches, fostering multidisciplinary thinking, and catering to a wide range of medical education levels suggests that it serves as a valuable resource for medical students, researchers, and professionals in the medical and healthcare fields. The intention is to support both theoretical and practical learning, making it suitable for individuals with varying levels of interest and expertise in biomechanics.

RHEO-BIO-MED-2023

The project “Lab-Orator” and the upcoming international scientific conference “Rheo-BIO-MED-2023” organized by the Ivane Beritashvili Experimental Center of Biomedicine and the Multidisciplinary Scientific Higher School of the Society of Rheology present an excellent opportunity for students and young researchers to share and disseminate their accumulated knowledge.
The conference serves as a platform for students and young researchers to establish communication, form collaborative groups, and understand the pathways for young individuals entering the field of science. It provides an open environment for discussions on topics of interest to students, facilitating engagement and learning from mentors, professors, teachers, and other interested individuals.
