We welcome you!

96Dear Colleagues!

Glad to have you here!
On this website we will be discussing news of rheology and publishing related articles. We're expecting you to leave your comments and engage as much as you will.

The website is suitable for different audiences: young doctors, physiologists, doctorates, and students. As part of the website online trainings and conferences will be conducted.
The website also has a page for patients.

Best regards!

Guide for determining the citation index of article and journal

The number, importance, novelty scientific works in peer-reviewed scientific journals evaluate scientific achievements. All of this is determined by the citation index. This article (proceedings of European Society of scientific research) determined by the citation indexs (Hirsch index, SJR, SNIP) and bibliometric parameters.

ESM-EVBO joint meeting 2017 May 29-June 1st 2017, Geneva, Switzerland Relationship between vascular aging, patients’ age and age disease

Mantskava M., Momtselidze N., Gotsadze M.

Introduction. The major link of pathogeny of development of the vassels age-related changes is violation of microcirculation and hemorheology, which are the basis of physiological aging and changing under the influence of diseases. Practically healthy subjects that were subdivided into age-related groups took part in population researches. Methods. The 1st group: middle age – 40±4,5, n=15, 2 th group: middle age 70±5, n=15). We studied other groups of patients with the same age, but with hypertensive disease with age 5 years and 15 years: 3th group:middle age – 40±4,5, diasease age 5 years; 4th group:middle age – 40±4,5, diasease age 15 years; 5th group:middle age – 70±4,5, diasease age 5 years; 6th group:middle age – 70±4,5, diasease age 15 years.

Blood rheological changes during stroke in male and female groups  European Stroke Organization conference, Prague, Czech Republic, 16-18 May, 2017.

Mantskava M.

The aim of the present study was the comparative analysis of the role of specific hemorheological derangements in the pathogenesis of ischemic brain infarcts in women (I group) and group with male patients (II group). Blood plasma viscosity, as well as red blood cells (RBC) aggregability were quantitatively investigated in all patients during the study. Research blood rheological methods: Red blood cell (RBC) aggregation – «Georgian method» and the standart capillary method for  measurement of blood plasma viscosity. Both of the above mentioned indices of hemorheological disorders were significantly higher in the patients in II group as compared to the control and I group. During the ischemic stroke, blood plasma viscosity was increased by a mean of 7.2 per cent in the first and by a mean of 9.6 per cent in the second group of patients. As to the erythrocyte aggregability index, it was changed considerably more – by a mean of 123.8 per cent during stroke in male patients, while in femele patients the RBC aggregability index was found to be increased by a mean of 107.3 per cent. Ischemic brain infarcts in patients in I group and in II group were associated with a significant increase of the patients' blood rheological disorders in all the investigated cases.

Аggregation and adhesion of red blood cells, 13th International Conference on Pathology, June 26-27, 2017, San Diego, USA

Mantskava M.

Important for cell biology to study not only cell adhesion, but the aggregated cells. For example it is very important to study the aggregation of red blood cells. This is important from the viewpoint of biology research, and in terms of applied medicine. in the abstract, we describe a new improved method for the study of aggregation of cells, such as erythrocytes. Тhe index of erythrocytes aggregability, which represents aggregated erythrocytes area ratio against whole area of the erythrocytes. To this end we used the so-called “Georgian technique”. Erythrocyte aggregation was evaluated by using the “Georgian technique”. Blood samples were centrifuged and about 0.1 ml blood was diluted 1:200 in own plasma in the Thoma pipettes preliminary rinsed with 5% sodium citrate solution without addition of any other anticoagulants to the blood under study. Following standard mixing the diluted blood was placed into a glass chamber 0.1 mm high. The quantitative index of erythrocyte aggregation, which was assessed with a special program at the Texture Analysis System (TAS-plus, “Leitz, Germany), represented itself the relationship of the aggregated and unaggregated red cells.

Successful R&I in Europe 2017: 8 th European Networking Event 2 – 3 March 2017.

Study of rheological status of patients with the purpose personification of patients with various diseases.

Type and role of partner sought

As partners, we would like to cooperate with companies and individuals which work in fundamental science, practical medical, areas of the industry, which are directly related to biomedicine and rheology. The implementation of our goals (personalization patients by additional diagnostic of rheological status) is possible by multidisciplinary and crossdisciplinary communication. Current issues of modern rheology can be determined by close contacts with doctors, pharmacologists, biology, physics, chemistry, cybernetics, health managers, evidence-based medicine experts, economists, lawyers and representatives of other fields of science and technology. We are interested in cooperation of companies that have experience in the areas listed above.
